Graham is for sure – he’s been threatened with primary for being too moderate, and given the nutjob dead-enders that make up the majority of the Republican Party anymore, he’d probably lose. So he’s trying to burnish his right-wing hardass cred. Too bad for him he’ll still get primaried and he’ll still lose. The Teahatters will always prefer the real thing. McCain’s just got a grudge, IMO. Rice was really hard on him as an Obama mouthpiece during the last election. I don’t know yet what Ayotte’s angle is. But I find the transparently political, hypocritical, reality-denying nature of the whole thing to be disgusting. They can all shove it where the sun don’t shine. ---

The D’s don’t have too deep a bench what with Hill leaving and only S.Rice and Lurch available. May as well confirm her as she coulldn’t be much worse than Hill. ---

McCain is still pissed because Rice criticized him for wearing a flak jacket in Iraq while at the same time saying how perfectly safe it was. The fucker holds a grudge better than anybody, ever. Also, they think that by getting her bounced as a candidate, they might pick up a seat in the Senate. It’s completely transparent, but they really think they’re being clever because the American public is, you know, teh stoopid. ---
