> [@Northern\_Piper](#): > > I was thinking about that. I’m going on holidays for two weeks with no computer access (cottage at a Saskatchewan lake with no tv or landline). Will be back on-line around August 20. How about I start a round 2 thread now for sign-ups, and when I get back I’ll send out the addresses for the next round? Deadline for posting will be the end of August. Suits me - thanks! ---

My second card arrived today (Friday). Thanks **Atomic Mama**. I’ve never seen a wooden card like it before. Unfortunately it seems to have got a bit knocked about during the journey - there are a few chipped edges. It’s actually quite a coincidence. Just before I went out to check the postbox, I was reading an article in the Economist about your state’s senatorial election. ---

I got an Ottawa postcard by way of Saskatchewan thanks to **Northern Piper**. That’s two received. I had to tell the nice little old lady postmistress of the possibly hurricane headed our way. Mail pickup often involves a long visit like that on my part of the island. ---

I checked my mail today and I got two TWO! postcards. Which puts my total at four. 😕 Not that it’s not nice! I got: franciscastle to whom I must say - we can wait for fall! I’m not done with summer yet! 🙂 and IvoryTowerDenizen who apparently is a close neighbor of mine now. I just visited the north fork of LI for the first time in my life this year. ---

My third card was in the post when I got home yesterday (Monday). Thanks **ShelliBean**. I will certainly enjoy what’s left of winter, although I fear that won’t be much. Temperatures are rising and there’s a distinct smell of spring in the air. ---
