# The Great British Bake Off

I love this show. I watch lots of competitive reality shows, and this one is the best. I love the slightly twee conceits, I love the hosts (Mel and Sue), I love the judges, I love the gentle competitive spirit, I love the camaraderie amongst the always splendidly cast bakers.

And the baking! I love to bake, so I always appreciate the skill that goes into coming up with the range of different baked goods.

Today I watched episode 3 of the current series, in which the bakers made filled “centrepiece” loaves. They looked lovely! Does anyone have a favourite kind of filled loaf? I think I’ll try one this weekend!

I know the end product didn’t look great but when that woman (too early in the series to remember their names yet) said she was making a breakfast filled loaf I may have gasped. And I’ve wanted to try one ever since.
