C-3PO has a pretty poor memeory. I was just watching EP IV and the gang almost gets killed in the garbage compacter because C-3PO “forgets” he has a communicator due to all the confusion. What droid forgets things? ---

Various answers, some factual, some guesses. C-3PO certainly had a memory wipe between Episodes III and IV, as did R2, most likely. I think R2 was programmed by Leia to say anything to get to Ben. Leia claims to remember her mother, sure. It’s possible Padme went to Alderaan with Leia, but in the interests of continuity, I’m going to ret-con it by factoring in Leia’s powers in the Force–it was possible to have contact with her mother without ever actually seeing her–in fact, without even having been born. Why not Luke, you ask? I don’t have an answer for that. 🙂 In the novelization of RotJ, Ben does indeed claim that Owen was his own brother. (I looked up this exact passage earlier this week for another thread.) According to Ben, Anakin _never knew Padme was pregnant_. If that’s true, it answers every question as to why Vader didn’t just go look for his kids. He didn’t even know they existed until somebody told him the kid who blew up the Death Star was named Skywalker. Leia came as a surprise to him about four years later. I had more, but they expect me to work or something. :mad: ---

I think they’ve done a pretty good job of aging Ewan over the course of the trilogy. From the shots I’ve seen of _Sith_, he looks like he easily be in his late 40s/early 50s. 2. “He is more machine than man.” Robot legs. Nuff said. ---

That sort of name seems to be more a Tatooine thing than anything else (Luke “Skywalker,” Biggs “Darklighter,” etc).
