Not quite the same thing.
Smoking outside does not put the smoker’s health at risk any more than smoking inside. Smoking inside does put the health of non-smokers at risk.
I guess if a cow-orker was shooting up next to me, I might want a taste…
That slope you’re standing on looks a little slippery there, Ibanez.
The alternative to Insite is heroin addicts and all their attendant problems (specifically diseases like HIV) sprawled randomly all over downtown Vancouver as was the case in the 90’s. There is a HUGE difference between enabling their addiction versus managing it.
That’s it exactly. I don’t want anyone to be addicted to heroin, but some people are, and pretending they don’t exist isn’t helping anyone.
To each his own, said the old lady as the tasted the cow.
Hey, we have a new premier - and she’s a LADY! A Muslim mayor in Calgary and a female premier in Edmonton - yeah, we sure are living up to our redneck reputation.
Anybody want any Girl Guide Cookies?
They’re the minty ones. I have lots, and lots. And then somemore lots.
If you’re in downtown Calgary, I even deliver
Congratulations.
I’m pretty sure you could run a hamster as the Conservative leader in Alberta and still win though.
GIRL GUIDE COOKIES!!! I am so there!!!1!
Oh. Wait. Calgary? Nooooo…
Have a look at her platform. It is not redneck in the slightest. With that platform, she could have run in Ontario as NDP or Liberal.
Manitoba election results are in - four straight majorities for the NDP.
Speaking of Manitoba, anyone here from Winnipeg?
Air Canada caused a stink by moving their pilots from a downtown hotel to one near the airport. Ostensibly for safety reasons but they’ve managed to offend everyone in the process. That should be their new slogan: Air Canada. We offend everyone!
According to Air Canada, apparently downtown Winnipeg is a haven of crime and villainy, especially with displaced flood victims (most of whom are native) staying downtown. Air Canada says “we’ll come back in a year when they’re all gone.” Winnipeg has won its share of violent crime capital awards but the locals say it’s really not that bad. Anyone here from the area?
Do you want to fly with a crew who have been kept up at night by binge drinkers?
I’m not from Winnipeg, but from Brandon. (I haven’t lived in Manitoba for donkey’s years, though.) The downtown isn’t that bad - the rough part of town is Main Street north of the Museum of Man and Nature. Winnipeggers are very sensitive about their city’s reputation. It’s not that much rougher than, say, Regina or the west end of Saskatoon.
Just like Alaska lost its redneck rep when it had a LADY governor - Sarah Palin?
I keed, I keed.
Our lady premier isn’t claiming to be able to see Russia from her house.
I see also that it was a leadership race, and not a provincial election. :smack:
She ain’t no lady.
Besides, I heard that her birth certificate is forged and in fact she is Russian.
