I did a search and didn’t find it, so obviously my search was flawed (and I was too annoyed with the mandatory delay between searches to continue), but who was the stupid fucker who asked whether the Mike Rowe jeans commercial was racist? ---

What we do reject is the effort to tar the entire group based on the actions of a small percentage. …and what we like to point out is how certain things get overlooked when your side does them. ---

Of course you mean when a \*small percentage \*of lib/Dems do them, not the entire “side”. I agree that among conservatives there are fewer outright racists than there used to be. Over the past century liberals have had to fight conservatives tooth and nail for every social-justice gain we take for granted today–giving women the right to vote, passing the Civil Rights Act, child labor laws, affirmative action, equal pay for equal work, fair housing laws. Today the battles are over immigration, same-sex marriage, racial profiling, bi-lingual education, prayer in schools, etc., and guess what–conservatives are uniformly on the side of white, male, Christian heterosexuals. You don’t have to preach hate to be against social justice. I agree that liberals have their own brand of narrow-mindedness. I don’t agree with every position of the left, and parts of the canon are downright obnoxious. But prominent conservatives–politicians and pundits with large followings, not a “small percentage” – routinely go through weird contortions to paint rich, powerful white men as victims of a multi-racial conspiracy. The fact that a large percentage of Republicans believe Obama is a Muslim and not an American citizen speaks volumes.
