> [@Crown\_Prince\_of\_Irony](#): > > Wild Billy Childish and the Buff Medway Appreciation Society (the Buff Medways for short). Lo-Fi, straight up old school DIY punk - here’s a [Youtube playlist](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnO20tPGU14&feature=BFa&list=AVGxdCwVVULXfcyYzEURc5T-eOC6MtMgpj&index=1). Also see Thee Milkshakes, Thee Headcoats, and a few other Thees - Billy Childish has been banging around the English punk scene for ages, but every Brit I ever speak to (and I talk to a lot of folks from the UK) has no clue who he is. Well, this German knows and loves him in his many guises. Really, I think he must be about the most prolific artists ever, and probably right at the top of that list – albums, books, poems, paintings, all of which number in the hundreds. I’m not sure he’s really that unknown – Kylie Minogue once named an album (‘Impossible Princess’) after one of his books, a factoid that somehow tickles me to no end. ---

New Blood Revival. New Jersey Ska band that I saw at Blakes in Berkeley. Then they broke up. They made one purely great album, Nice Girls. Profane, brilliant, and misogynistic. ---
