When I was in Thailand I met a lovely expat from Bangkok. She loved the life there - her husband made a Western executive salary and they lived very well. She spent her time shopping, travelling the country, taking cooking and language classes, and getting luxurious massages.
If my husband had the opportunity to transfer to Thailand we would do so in a heartbeat.
