dessert winds wispers thunder rolls across the sky as time slips by turn on the tv the city is burning black slips into the void nitrous and high boost four on the floor and high speeds on ever faster the cold fog lays low mist dance on the tungsten glow cold, dark, till morrow the doorway is there the path is a mystery reach, reach for the sky starlight to twilight into the cutting silence the cries of the wolves boredom, what to do? the drudged indifference, give me substance! they might not be traditional, but they are 5, 7, 5 works for me ---

To celebrate my 46th birthday, I’m going to link to the [Spam Haiku](http://pemtropics.mit.edu/%7Ejcho/spam/) archive (over 14,000 and still growing!), and quote a few for-instances: Kittens’ first day out: They encounter SPAM! One sniff, all run back to Mom. SPAM commercial: Two Yugos pull up. “Pardon me. Have you any SPAM?” Indian looks down on Hormel plant. A single tear runs down his face. “Spam in the place where you live…” - Wierd Al, spoofing REM. ---
