And for hundreds of years, doctors who took that oath practiced—among other quaint things—bloodletting to balance bodily humors, because they thought they were doing the right thing for their patients. Being a good and/or ethical doctor doesn’t always keep a person from making mistakes, or believing the wrong thing. (More’s the pity, of course. :smack: )
