Ditzy party girls. There’s a million of them out there, only these two have millions. The Bush daughters are ten times more interesting, not least of all because their actions directly challenge their father’s policies on drugs and abstinence, but also because they are apparently far more intelligent. And they hang out with Ashton Kutcher, Dan Savage’s dream boyfriend. ---

My first thought was about the pygopagus conjoined twins Daisy and Violet, also. I read an interview with them a while back when it was linked on Fark - I think it was the aforementioned FHM spread. Most of it was typical brainless fluff, but on the last page, they started talking about some guy who dared ask one of them out, or something like that, and they came off sounding like the most arrogant, stuck-up, spoiled, insufferable little weasels ever. I mean, they were mocking this guy for _daring_ to even speak to them, let alone call them, etc, etc, etc. It was absolutely revolting. ---

**Daisy and Violet** : I have tapes of both of their movies, and they were very talented musicians and singers. Actresses, not so much . . . If I ever get two Siamese cats, I plan to name them Daisy and Violet . . . **Paris and Nicky** : I actually have nothing against them, because I feel we _need_ our brainless, glittery social butterflies. well, before we had artist celebrities, we had rich celebrities. Kings and Queens, Emperors and Empresses, Dukes and Dutches and all who moved in their social circles, were the original celebrities. If you had it, you flaunted it. It was expected. You were supposed to rub it in your lower social classes’ faces that you were richer and therefor better than them. You had to remind them of their place in society. Later, when Hollywood really took of, and people started going to the motion pictures, and then later the talkies, actors and actresses, musicians and the like, became the “norm” for “celebrities”. They were much more exciteing because _you could actually become one of them_. And that was their main attraction. They weren’t born into money. They made it themselves. And that made their life an attainable goal to the common people. That’s it, really. They’re nothing more that socialites. And the world like looking at pretty things. ---
