I really want to like these Dwarves, but I just don’t. They just look… wrong. I guess those in the animated TV movie _The Hobbit_ were closer to my mental image. Hope these new guys are better up on the big screen. ---

I notice there’s a Radagast (I sorely missed him in the LOTR movies, for some reason, he’s one of my prefered characters). At least we won’t have dwarves who are mere clowns (I really disliked the way Gimli was depicted in the movie as a “comic relief” character). ---

Oh, I did like that cameo! I’m wondering if he’s in the movie (yes, his character isn’t in The Hobbit, but then neither is Galadriel)…if not, he’s a pretty good sport to get into makeup and wardrobe for a five-second appearance. ---
