**Delores** , thanks for scoring this. One minor nitpick: Hill House **is** The House on Haunted Hill, I believe. Not that this would improve my scores all that much… At least I wasn’t anchorman this time. ---

See, that’s what’s tough about the scoring of these. I try to research as much as I can, but I miss stuff. Wiki link to [The House on Haunted Hill](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_on_Haunted_Hill) does not state it was based on the Shirley Jackson novel. Wiki link to [The Haunting of Hill House](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Haunting_of_Hill_House) by Shirley Jackson. I did research this one (before,) and I determined they were not the same. ---

Not that this would improve my scores all that much… [/QUOTE] It’s an easy mistake, but they’re two different pieces of cursed real estate: Hill House is from \*The Haunting of Hill House \* (written by Shirley Jackson in 1959 and adapted to the big screen as _The Haunting_ by director Robert Wise in 1963), while \*The House on Haunted Hill \* was a 1959 movie directed by William Castle and starring Vincent Price. Adding to the confusion, of course: both movies were re-made – horribly – in 1999. None of these are to be confused with _Hell House_, written by Richard Matheson in 1971 and filmed as _The Legend of Hell House_ in 1973. On preview, what \*\*Dolores \*\* said, and I’ll add my thanks for your fine work in this and other Feuds. ---

No, I have no excuse–I KNOW the rules. Except I think I kind of wanted to get show offy and use movies/characters that I liked, rather than ones that would be the most popular. ---

[/QUOTE] The remake does get points for: A) The first instance (at least to me) of that freaky movement that all ghosts seemingly must have now: they’re in one place, and then seconds later, appear many feet from that place (and much closer to you). The doctor’s on-camera appearance in \*House on Haunted Hill \* freaked me right out. +15 points B) The presence of Ali Larter. +45 points The movie proceeds to forfeit all of those points because of its craptastic ending. The original \*House on Haunted Hill \* is pretty silly, but it does have one really good jolt in it. ---

But as to wanting a werewolf category, that’s probably me showing more how much I want to vote for my favorites (like **Dog Soldiers** ) than I just wanna represent overall. Heh. And **Otaku** , that’s the remedial version. For high-steppin’ Zombie shamblin’, you gotta aim for the **28 Days Later** effect.
