Number 10 - Sweet!
This clinches it. The key to doing well in a Feud is to follow the Constanza rule. I should not go with my first answer, but rather the opposite.

Delores, thanks for scoring this.
One minor nitpick: Hill House is The House on Haunted Hill, I believe. Not that this would improve my scores all that much…
At least I wasn’t anchorman this time.
See, that’s what’s tough about the scoring of these. I try to research as much as I can, but I miss stuff.
Wiki link to The House on Haunted Hill does not state it was based on the Shirley Jackson novel.
Wiki link to The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
I did research this one (before,) and I determined they were not the same.
It’s an easy mistake, but they’re two different pieces of cursed real estate: Hill House is from *The Haunting of Hill House * (written by Shirley Jackson in 1959 and adapted to the big screen as The Haunting by director Robert Wise in 1963), while *The House on Haunted Hill * was a 1959 movie directed by William Castle and starring Vincent Price.
Adding to the confusion, of course: both movies were re-made – horribly – in 1999.
None of these are to be confused with Hell House, written by Richard Matheson in 1971 and filmed as The Legend of Hell House in 1973.
On preview, what **Dolores ** said, and I’ll add my thanks for your fine work in this and other Feuds.
Thank you!
For the record, I was playing under Golf rules, and therefore, won the thread.
(Translation: Boy howdy, did I ever misread the rules! :smack: )
Rats. Not only am I unable to break out of the bottom third of these things. But stuff I thought I knew is all wrong.
Bollocks.
Gotta keep playing to see if I can get any better.
Wow, my lowest showing EVER on a Feud… Ouch.
Bite your tongue! The last 15 minutes or so are lame, but the rest of the House on Haunted Hill remake is awesome.
Uh, me too. No, I have no excuse–I KNOW the rules. Except I think I kind of wanted to get show offy and use movies/characters that I liked, rather than ones that would be the most popular.
The remake does get points for:
A) The first instance (at least to me) of that freaky movement that all ghosts seemingly must have now: they’re in one place, and then seconds later, appear many feet from that place (and much closer to you). The doctor’s on-camera appearance in *House on Haunted Hill * freaked me right out. +15 points
B) The presence of Ali Larter. +45 points
The movie proceeds to forfeit all of those points because of its craptastic ending.
The original *House on Haunted Hill * is pretty silly, but it does have one really good jolt in it.
Seems like this happens fairly often. Maybe the rules boilerplate needs some bold print saying “This is like Family Fued, NOT Scattergories. You WANT to match popular answers, NOT find unique ones.”)
I did add:
It’s not bold though.
WOOHOO! Finally I excelled at something (Sixth place is good, right?) that I actually excel / obsess at in real life. It’s time to do a Zombie Happy Dance!!
Oh, and Dolores, if you ever run another (thanks for this one – it rocked!), please don’t forget the werewolves. We need more howling!!
I created this one–thanks. I thought about doing a werewolf category, but I wasn’t sure if werewolf movies were as popular…I guess they are! Hehe.
How can you tell when a zombie is doing a Happy Dance? Wouldn’t it look just like a zombie doing a normal dance? You know, just like teenaged boys at their first dance shifting their weight from one side to another, approximately in time with the music.
Ah. Sorry I missed that Freudian Slit. You really done good! But as to wanting a werewolf category, that’s probably me showing more how much I want to vote for my favorites (like Dog Soldiers) than I just wanna represent overall. Heh.
And Otaku, that’s the remedial version. For high-steppin’ Zombie shamblin’, you gotta aim for the 28 Days Later effect. That way you can zip around all over the place, all the while muchin’ on braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaains.
“We did the Mash, the Monster Mash…”
Shouldn’t that be: “We did the Munch. The Monster Munch…”?
Wow, I am thrilled
