I had a fantastic weekend, great time spent with a fab bunch of friends celebrating a birthday (no need to panic, it wasn’t mine) but there was so much time spent outside enjoying the glorious weather that now my sunburn has sunburn. We had temperatures up to 30 degrees over the weekend, we are just not prepared for that! The only thing to do was cool off in the pool, thus I definitely had a hot and soggy time. I’m at home this coming weekend (apart from a day out visiting my doting parent), and then the following Friday I am off to Belgium for a long weekend. Happy times! ---

I is officially too old to go to concerts. Saw Halestorm last night. They were awsome! But standing around for 3 hours + getting home around midnight + getting up at 0530 = ouches and tiredies. ---

Blurf. Had to take the housemate to A 'n E last night- she was getting chest pains (again- it’s happened a few times, and never been anything serious). I think she’s ok- I asked her to call me for a lift back if needed- she didn’t, but I heard her come in about 1am, having presumably walked across town… When I got back after dropping her off, her boyfriend was waiting outside the house, and had a bit of a go at me for not calling her an ambulance :rolleyes: So… she’s been coming off a medication with chest pains as a common withdrawal symptom, and it’s happened several times before. It’d been going on for several hours, she’d called the out of hours doctor who’d told her it was better to get checked out today rather than wait until monday morning as a different medication she’s on slightly increases risk of heart issues (last time they just said ‘take some paracetamol, it’ll be the medication’), and she’s 30 freaking years old and is quite capable of phoning her own ambulance if required, but I should have called one for her, (which probably wouldn’t have arrived for ages, due to the triage system) against her wishes and against medical advice, rather than giving her a lift, otherwise I’m a horrible person? Riiight. Anyway, I should probably go do something useful. The caffeine’s kicking in now. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, brekkied, purtified and at irk. Just another manic Moanday. 😃 ‘Tis 75 muggy Amurrkin degrees out with a predicted high of 91with _ONLY_ a forty percent chance of rain. We might start to dry out a little. Torrential frawg stranglin’ rain and tstorms last night. 'Twas still at it when I fell asleep around eight-thirtyish. Da yahd was all squishy, hence the hope of some kind of dry out over the next few days. Hopefully we’ll have the chance before the next predicted big band of rain later this week. Conversation starters, heh. When I was a wee freshbear in college, we had to learn the first eighteen lines of the _Prologue to The Canterbury Tales_ in Middle-English. Our professor said we had to do it for two reasons: because he said so, and because one day we will be at a cocktail party and can use the recitation as an icebreaker. I have not thought about this in years. I can sorta still do it after all these many, many, many years but have never used it at a cocktail party. Trash and recycling is ready to go - but the center doesn’t open for 30 minutes, so we’ve got time to kill. I think the rain has passed for now. Comforter is on the line and second load is in the washer. When it’s done, it’ll go on the line and we’ll go to the center. Yep, it’s a wild ride at FairyChatEstates! ---
