I’m just curious as to at what age the OP discovered that he had been circumcised (meaning, learned the definition of the word, looked down and said “hmm…I guess I was”) and started to obsess about it. Because I don’t think my son knew what it meant and realized he had been until probably maybe ten or so? And no, I’m not going to call and ask him. But I can’t recall him ever expressing any angst about it. ---

My untutored speculation about people in the “restoration” community is that there is often some larger unresolved parental trauma going on, and the focus on this particular issue is just one way that it manifests itself. No idea if that’s what’s going on with the OP, but it may be worth considering. ---

I’m going to vote that no, having a surgery as a baby that you have no recollection of and only sometimes think about enough to get pissed off is not in any sense close to the trauma of rape. Why isn’t this in the pit? ---
