Won’t help the little man except maybe the one sliver of a chance that it makes him see that someone WILL stand up for him someday. That bitch is an oxygen thief, she’s stealing MY oxygen and for that, she gets a face full of demon. If she wants to look my demon in the face and is stupid enough to take a swing after that, all bets are off and I spend a night in jail while she goes to the hospital. There aren’t a lot of things that make me throw caution to the wind and paint the kitchen white, but that would be one of them right there. I’m sorry you had to hear that, and I’m sorry for the little dude. He’s going to be one fucked up adult…if he makes it that long. ETA: I’m not an internet tough guy or anything. Someday someone will probably kick my ass. I have come to peace with the possibility of an ass kicking or jail. If I’ve come to that point with someone, I’ve given thought to the long term consequences and have made my decision at that point. It’s happened once or twice, but nobody has ever looked my demon in the face and challenged it. ---

What the flying fuck … the power was restored a little over an hour or so ago here at chez aru … so why the hell is the neighbors generator making that whiney grindy sort of sound? Why is it running at all? I want to go to sleep and all I hear is that damned whiney grindy sound ruuur ruuur ruuur ruuur :mad: ---

Our boss is out of the office today and not checking e-mails. So apparently that means that all the other product managers under him (other than me) chose to take the day off without telling anyone or submitting for paid time off. So, out of the four people that were supposed to be online or at work just decided not to bother. What. The. Fuck? Why am I the only person online? Granted, I’m working at home. The dishwasher is busted and I’m sitting on my ass waiting for the repair guy. But in what world is it acceptable to just not show up to work because the boss is out? We all bust our asses, but being exempt and not hourly does not translate to not show up to work whenever the fuck you feel like it! I’m not sure what to do about this. I’m certainly not going to disturb my boss on his day off. One of the product managers who chose not to show up to work seemed to be having a mental breakdown yesterday, so it’s very possible that that is why she isn’t here or online. The other one is virtual. I guess I’ll mind my own business, but I’m still fucking pissed. ---

True. But honestly this was one of the best mini-rants threads ever. People got rants off their chest, some advice was given, a few problems solved, virtual hugs given, assholes called assholes, and just enough snark so that it still felt Pit like. ---

Damn you Hyundai. Miles driven divided by fuel used equals MPG. This ain’t rocket surgery or brain science but you still fucked it up. Car companies have been publishing MPG numbers for about 40 years, one would think that it would be pretty much impossible to fuck up. Well if you thought that (and I did) you would be wrong. You overstated the EPA mileage numbers on a bunch of your cars. Great just fucking great. Now for the next several weeks I’m going to get yelled at by every Hyundai owner in So Cal who thinks I’m the guy that can’t do the math. Nice job sparky. You fucked up and I catch the shit. Swell. Just fucking swell. ---
