I wonder if he agreed because he and his lawyer negotiated the right for him to record the deposition; at the very least to have it video-recorded and an unedited copy of the recording given to him right away.

The purpose of a closed door deposition is to keep sensitive information out of the public.
The Trump kids had to appear behind closed-door depositions many times. I think Don Jr. had to be deposed 5 times.
Would you have given him the same advice you are giving Hunter?

Sure. Remember when Trump Jr tweeted that he _did_ have meetings with Russian agents during the 2016 election? Why wouldn’t we want to know what he blathered behind closed doors to a friendly audience?

Beat me to it. Not only has Hunter never worked for this administration but he has never worked in ANY government job. It is unlikely in the extreme he has or has ever had access to any sensitive information other than being able to provide testimony showing Comer, Jordan and the house GOP are full of shit.

Yes – in this case, the “sensitive information” is that this investigation is based on lies and only intended to politically harm Joe Biden. Having that in public could even further damage the (already minimal) credibility of the GOP House committee.

The purpose of the closed door deposition is that the Republicans will cherry pick what is made public and twist that information to make the Bidens look guilty. Plus, if nothing incriminating is revealed, they get to sit on that information.

Walker’s denial isn’t going to change much; he’s considered right at the center of the corruption, the “middle man” between the Biden family and communist china or whatever.
But hopefully at least one MAGA-head might ponder why they cannot make people like Walker flip, what with all that totally real and damning evidence they have.
