The ‘he was a public figure’ part is the defense against his original defamation suit. He then changed it to revenge porn. At least that’s how I understood it.

Funny how Fox considers Hunter’s felony convictions as fair game to defame him however they want, but handwaves away Trump’s 34 felony convictions as a political witchhunt.

If your or any voter’s highest priority was Hunter Biden, when no Biden was on the ballot, Hunter was successfully being prosecuted by Trump appointed Bill Barr appointed David Weiss, and law and order is being achieved then I fail to see this as anything other than an endorsement of playing pretend as a foundation for politics.
Personally, as Republican, I wouldn’t vote for the friend of Bill Clinton that raised the Federal Budget, pardoned Rod Blagojevich, shot down e-Verify, supports unions, and tries to use big government to tell businesses what they’re allowed to do.
If the only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is whether you have to be PC on the Internet then there’s basically only one party and 90% of the political positions tie back to the Democratic party, not the Republican.

As he should have done. If Hunter’s last name was anything other than Biden this case would have been settled long ago with no prison time.
The MAGA shitheads will squawk for a few weeks but this will fade away fairly quickly because most Americans couldn’t care less.

The persistence of memory is a curious thing with the MAGA crowd. If Trump fails to institute tariffs, they’ll forget he ever promised them; but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re still trying to prove Obama was born in Africa.

Yep. Pure politics. Mind you, Hunter was guilty of the Tax Charges, but since he paid and repented, he would never have gotten prison if he wasnt a Biden. He would have gotten a suspended sentence- which is what he deserved.

I get that but they have very poor short term memory in general.
With this pardon the Hunter Biden story will quickly fall out of the news, even on FOX.
With Biden out of office they will have no reason to go on about it.
Forgotten in 6 months is my prediction.
(Maybe AG Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel will find a way to breathe new life into it but I suspect they will find fresh issues and people to persecute.)

You mean like was done in 1980 when Reagan and the GOP were smeared with the unpopular Nixon pardon and Jimmy Carter won a 2nd term? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
I am on record elsewhere saying I expect the GOP will win the midterms in '26 and retain control in '28, but Hunter Biden and his pardon won’t be the reason.

Biden might not have done it if Harris had been elected. But I imagine he was pretty concerned about Hunter being in prison with MAGA types who might be looking to impress the boss. Now that we live in Trump land it was absolutely the right thing to do to try to keep Hunter safe.

It’s weird. They remember Biden’s promise not the pardon his son, but seem to have completely forgotten Trump skating on 37 felonies.
