I was referring to this: > **[Hunter Biden's art deal will keep buyers' identities a secret](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hunter-bidens-art-deal-will-keep-buyers-identities-a-secret/)** > > His work is expected to fetch between $75,000 and $500,000 per painting, according to his gallery. I also remember the MSM claiming that this would prevent influence peddling. We also talked about it on this board. > [@Hunter Biden artwork attracts ethics scrutiny](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/hunter-biden-artwork-attracts-ethics-scrutiny/946031): > > Ohhh, this looks bad. Ethics experts are raising concerns about a reported agreement involving the White House that will keep secret the buyers of Hunter Biden’s artwork at an upcoming auction. [The Washington Post](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/deal-of-the-art-white-house-grapples-with-ethics-of-hunter-bidens-pricey-paintings/2021/07/07/97e0528c-da72-11eb-9bbb-37c30dcf9363_story.html) reported Thursday that White House off… Lots of discussion there about the ‘secret’ sales. --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/the-hunter-biden-investigation-thread-started-in-2019-hunter-pardoned-on-december-1-2024/840964)._
