I was driving home when I was pulling up to an intersection about 10 miles from home where I _was_ going to make a right at the traffic light. SUV in the next lane over almost swerves into me. At the red light, he gets out of his car & does something in the back seat. _Hmmm, maybe the swerve was because he was trying to reach something?_ As he gets back into his car, even though it’s dark out, he has _that_ look to him. I decide I’ll go straight as it’s not really out of my way. He then pulls out his phone. The light turns green, I go; he’s still sitting there. The tractor-trailer behind me starts & pulls thru the intersection; he’s still sitting there. He finally catches up to me at the next light; I go slow because I want to be behind him to see if he’s really swerving but before he can get in front of me, he swerves again. As I crest the hill, I see a cop car, lit up up ahead doing a traffic stop. I speed up & pull in behind the cop just as he’s getting out of his car. I honk & flash my lights at him; as he comes back to me, I point at the SUV & say he’s swerving all over the road. He gets back in his car & gets on the radio as I pull out. In my rear view mirror, I see him pull out, pull alongside the car from the original stop, where it’s obvious the conversation is, “This is your lucky day” & then he drives off, passing me but never putting his lightbar on. A couple of traffic lights up, I see him pull over (by this time he’s crossed the township line). _Oh well, maybe the SUV turned off & he couldn’t find him._ As we come around the next corner, there’s another cop with his lightbar on & waddayaknow, he’s pulled over a certain SUV! You may be able to outrun a given cop, but you can’t outrun Motorola! So my totals for the night are one person _didn’t_ get a ticket because of me & one guy either was delayed a few minutes (_maybe he was just tired_) or I bagged a terrorist\* tonight. - Damn right they’re terrorists! Almost 3000 people died in the 3 sites on 9/11; between 3 - 4 times that number have been killed each & every year since then by drunk drivers. I do not not get on planes or not go in skyscrapers because of what happened 14 years ago; however, I _am_ afraid to be in a car on New Year’s Eve. Just because it happens in ones & twos as opposed to thousands at once doesn’t mean it’s not an act that “creates fear & submission produced by terrorism” Best part is, they didn’t get any of my info. I won’t be subpoenaed to testify & the asshole won’t know who it was that bagged his (probably) drunk ass! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 76 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and afternoon rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted. We had a hyuuuuuuuuuuuge tstorm between seven-thirty and eight last night. If’n we are to get big stuff this afternoon, I hope it waits until we’re back from Americus. The big plan for the day is N.O.L. in Americus. After that, well, I am makin’ some jambalaya for brunch over to the church house tomorrow. I’ve had a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for jambalaya so I see this as an opportune time to make some. Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, it’s sloth time until we head up to Americus. Or I could go ahead and make the jambalaya. I’m bein’ all willy-nilly today. Happy Sattidy Y’all! ETA: Good on you **spidey**! Happy Saturday! I overslept, I still need a lot of sleep. You’d think I’d be better by now. It was beautiful outside this morning. I sat out a bit with the dog. Nice and quiet, nice breeze. I should open the windows for a while. I have to get Sah-son over his thing about open windows. The last time I opened them all wide he went behind me and closed them, he’s afraid somebody will break in. I hate to tell him that I could break into this house in under 5 minutes with just a screwdriver. Yum Jambalaya, good eats. I’m hungry and need some breakfast, but I think now it will be lunch. **Ruble** you missed your calling as a song writer. Good on you **Spidey** ---

One of those days I got to sleep all the way to 6am. Four others only until 5am (with going to bed ± midnight), & the last one I didn’t go to bed at all! I’m away again next weekend (near **midget** ville) & two of the next three. I’ve already had breakfast (Loops of Froot), cleaned _all_ the dishes that were in the sink, & am back at dealing with all of the pictures (600+ from last weekend’s festival alone) + hours of video. Got to leave ≈ 3pm today & won’t get home until 11:30 or midnight again. I’m not even sure I’ll get to sleep/relax when I’m dead. ☹ ---
