I was thinking of going to the doctors to see if they could suggest anything, but, predictably, I didnā€™t get up in time. The sun did switch for rain when I went down to my allotment to plant out some rhubarb and make a vague attempt at clearing a bit more ground. Iā€™m way behind on clearing the plot, I need a few dry days in a row so I can have a bonfire of all the silly trees my crazy neighbour planted. Oh well, Iā€™m happy anyway today, I just found out I won Ā£150 this month with my [Premium Bonds.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premium_bond) I splashed out on chips from the _good_ chip shop in celebration šŸ˜ƒ (Incidently, I think this may be the most British post Iā€™ve made in a whileā€¦) ---

That sounds good. Iā€™ll either brown them and mix with with stewed tomatoes and eat over rice, or Iā€™ll bake them with tomato puree, top with mozzarella and eat over pasta. I like quick and easy. ---

Home, tahred, and ready for the weekend. I stopped at WalMart on the way home and got 10 more flour sack towels which will become 20 tea towels to be sold at the little store. Apparently my Amish towels and crab towels are very popular. So Sunday, I intend to hem up all that Iā€™ve got, and maybe cut out another crab stencil - perhaps in size between the 2 I have. Iā€™d like to come up with something else Amish, but besides the horse-and-buggy and the silhouettes of the man and woman, I canā€™t think of anything that would be recognizable as Amish. I contacted my bossā€™ boss today and weā€™ve decided that starting the first week of March, Iā€™ll work 3 days a week - Tues-Weds-Thurs, unless I decide to shift earlier or later in the week. This assumes thereā€™s enough money to pay me - boss-lady said she canā€™t get a straight answer from anyone. But she wants me to stay and the guy I do drawings for wants me to stay, so thereā€™s that. Tomorrow, weā€™re going to walk around the [motorcycle show](http://cycleshow.net/). Afterwards, weā€™ll go to my momā€™s for lunch and sheā€™ll give me a long-overdue haircut. Snow is in the forecast, but supposedly less than an inch. We shall see. \*\*BooFae \*\*- whatā€™s the weather like around the British Isles in September? Weā€™ll be there the last week of August and the first week or so of Sept. What sort of temps can we expect? Is that time of year rainy or dreary? Do you have any special connections to arrange for a pleasant visit?? šŸ˜‰ Supper shall be grab whatever. I just ate a yogurt and some pretzels because I was feeling weird. I may just have a sammich. We shall see. TGIF!!! ---

You can make no guarantees for UK weather, but youā€™re in with a pretty good chance of sun and minimal drearyness at that time of year- thatā€™s the time the kids normally go back to school after the summer holidays, and itā€™s often nice and sunny, sometimes even _hot_! :eek:šŸ†’ By our standards anyway šŸ˜› In celcius, youā€™re looking at minimum high teens if itā€™s a rotten summer, and maximum around 30C if itā€™s a ā€˜scorcherā€™ (which I think translates as about 60F to maybe 90F). If itā€™s the higher end, youā€™ll get the entertaining spectacle of us all overheating and generally failing to cope with the mild warmth. Itā€™s a good time to come- especially when school starts up at the start of September, and everything suddenly becomes much less busy. ---

\*\*Nuts \*\*- thanks! Good to know. Weā€™ll be heading to Norway and Iceland after we cruise around the Isles, and I know both of those places promise to be a tad on the brisk side. It sounds like weā€™ll have lovely sightseeing weather (potentially) so huzzah for that! šŸ˜ƒ Can you tell Iā€™m getting excited about our trip, even this far out? ---
