# The "I guess I'm the first one up" MMP

**swampy** , yard work then being appreciated for it? I think I’ve got that video around here somewhere… seems to be a common plot point.

Off to bed. Haven’t eaten anything except grains and fruits today - roommate’s dumpster treasures included a crate of well-ripened bananas, so for Food Not Bombs, I made a huge mess of banana bread and oatmeal banana cookies.

Afterwards, tried cooking peaches in a cast-iron skillet for later ice-cream (plain yogurt) topping, but it was kind of boring. Sprinkled sugar on top of the cut side and torched it! Was more delicious.

Oh! In minor, unrelated news, I drained slightly more than 0.1 mL of fluid out of this morning’s shovelin’ blister. And I participated in, and got a GD thread closed, which reminds me of why I never go in there.

Just remember, if you collapse from heat exhaustion she gets full rights to “I Told You So” for six months.

Seriously, don’t mess around with that. A buddy of mine in PA nearly collapsed from that just taking her kids for a walk in the stroller in the early morning a couple of weeks ago.
