Another week closer to the end - in fact, two weeks from today at 1030 Eastern time, I report to security to turn in my badges and get escorted out. It’s been a glorious day - the house has been open since last night and I shouldn’t have to close it up till maybe tomorrow. Huzzah for fresh air and not paying for all that electricity to cool the place! 😃 Daughter came over today and she and \*\*FCD \*\*installed a bank of lights down one side of the basement. After we tear down the closet and take down some more lights, the other side of the basement will get all new fluorescents. And it’s causing minimal damage to the remaining sheetrock, so I should be able to patch it myself and we won’t have to hire anyone. So yay! And with all the stuff we held onto when converting from the shop to the apartment, we don’t need to buy too much. Double yay! I need a nap. I foresee an early bedtime tonight. At least I hope so. ---

He has the car, so no grocery store run for me (or a run to the Really Good Chinese place that only does take-out, not delivery. :() ---

They had a vegetarian buffet every Wednesday that was beyond wonderful. We were in deep mourning here, at least at my place we were. The better place doesn’t deliver, so it’s only third-best. ---

**gotti** , my experience with pred is mixed. It does work but makes me very hungry and unable to sleep well. Too much and i get nervous, more hungry and will not sleep at all. The best part to me is a lots of energy and a\* very\* clean house. **swampy** -glad you got paid. news this week that government checks may not be any good soon. not good. congratulations on pending retirement \*\*FCM \*\* Do you plan to get another job? It sounds like you stay busy enough with remodeling, animals and knitting. Why am i so not productive. I had my second Gynecologist visit today for an internal sonogram. I have an ovarian cyst. Am now taking hormones for the godawful periods. Doc said cyst nothing to worry about but took blood for a C-125 screening test. Now I am all worried. TMI I know. So, I have a few minor errands to run tomorrow (I have major ones, too, but they can wait) which can be done without leaving the car - so do you think anyone would mind if I stayed in my pj’s? They’re cute… they could pass for a summer capri set (if not for the nighttime motif) ---

Ice cream! I accidentally bought some chocolate ice cream this week, it was behind the tiramisu ice cream that I wanted. But I’ve been enjoying it with frozen bananas, a combination that is unexpectedly delicious. 2 AM by the way, 82 degrees and 82% humidity. Morning all! Enjoying a lazy Saturday morning. My allergies kicked my behind yesterday. I spent the day sniffling and sneezing with my head in a fog. Chinese takeout and some medicine comprised dinner (unfortunately, I did not order the Chinese from a memu) and lots of sleep, tea and a hot shower put me right again. Once my laundry goes in the dryer I’ll be heading out among 'em for some errands, then tonight it’s out for some beerverages. Hoping to squeeze in a visit to the pool this weekend as well - close to 90 both today and tomorrow. Happy Saturday! ---

Was very happy that my phone did not ring this morning. For some reason, I stayed up until 2 AM on my on-call weekend, and realized I would have been miserable at work at 7 AM. 😕 Off to get ready and go to the farmer’s market. Corn, strawberries, and possibly watermelon are singing my name. ---

Hi! I’m here and alive and taking a break. We sorta slept in, then went to breakfast, bought some stuff for the basement, and came home and started working down there. \*\*FCD \*\*uninstalled a bunch of lights and I moved stuff in the closet so we could take out the walls. Sheetrock is down, but the studs are still in place - we used screws when we build the wall, so we’ll need to unscrew to take it apart. Now we’re taking a break - perhaps we’re done. I’m following the lead of my sweetie. I’ve got a load of jeans and 2 dog blankets on the clotheslines, and I sprinkled the carpets with anti-flea stuff that needs to be vacuumed up soon. We’re going back to the good seafood place in Leonardtown for supper tonight. Yay! No cooking for me! 😃 \*\*FedUp \*\*- my retirement plans are in flux. I’m just catching up on chores for the first month, and I’m taking a class starting in September, so that’ll occupy my Tuesdays and Thursdays. We’re going on a cruise in January, so IF I decide I want a job, I won’t look till after the cruise. \*\*BBBobbio \*\*- you go all the way to \*\*Fredburg \*\*for movies? Dang, that’s a long drive. Altho I’ll grant the theaters are probably nicer than the one in Waldork. \*\*donkeybear \*\*- we stopped at an Amish stand for corn and a cantaloupe - the melon we got last week was megayum! Tomorrow, I’m going to make the peach perserves. Dunno if I’ll do anything else. We shall see. Alas, I had to close up the house - with us working up a sweat while working, we really did need a/c. Maybe it’ll cool again tonight - it was 60°F when I got up this morning. Very nice sleeping weather! ---

Wow, you’re very busy, **FCM**! Wish I could be that productive. Too tired this weekend. Funny LOL, **rosie**. We had strawberries and raspberries at breakfast, pizza for lunch, with an ice cream chaser and are now scarfing down sugar snap peas. Mega yum. Ice cream was from DQ, which is about 2 1/2 blocks from here. It’s hot enough out that that was a LONG walk. We’re also at the beginning of a Harry Potter marathon. We saw 7, part 2, last night and were really in a Harry Potter mood this morning, so nephew decided we’d start watching from the top. Back to the movies. Hugs. GT ---
