Beerverages! Why is it that the only time I want to buy beer or wine is on Sunday? This time of year I’m more inclined to ignore the cases of homebrew sitting around the house and pick up some cold Miller Light or something. It’s just too hot for flavor! Just cut up the watermelon I bought yesterday and it is amazing. Seems that watermelon is the only thing I can get at the farmer’s market that’s consistently delicious. The tomatoes are just good, the peaches are average (but they smelled so good!), and we haven’t touched the basil or corn. Heels are done on both socks, with only one major tragedy. Hooray! ::off to knit:: ---

Hello All, Son in law is visiting with his familly for a week so we get to feed an extra 6 people.:smack: I broke down and bought a new bed which will be delivered in 8 days and some bigger clothes. I spent over $2K before 7 am.:eek: Back to the old grindstone in the early am. I think I will have beerverages (is that how you spell that) so I can have a nice hang on in the morning. WooHoo. Hallo. We’re all still alive, in spite of morning sickness and TomKitten’s being awake all night with a bad cold. I lie- he was only up from 1 to 7. It is a billion degrees out, but Mr. Lissar is heroically working on the deck. I’ve got dinner prepped so people who feel like eating can eat it. Bed tonight at 9. ---

\*\*FedEx \*\*- that’s about 3 hours of work after a week or so of planning. The candle holders are a couple of pots I threw - I filled them with sand to hold the candles upright. It occurred to me that I should explain the components of the shrine. The big picture with the sunrise and my name spelled out \*\ \*on the side is a tribute to the “chalice” that my boss gave me. The sun in the lower left declares that I’m ALCOM’s Freekin’ Ray of Sunshine (ALCOM = Al’s Command = those of us who work for Al.) The flowers and candles are just because no shrine is complete without flowers and candles. I had some incense to put in there, but I lost it… _grrrrrrrrr_ The black blob in the front is a pair of socks. A few years back, I had a dream that Al came over to my house and stole my socks, and it’s been a running joke in our branch since then. And the whole point of this is that, first, Al was off for a week and left me in charge, so I have a moral imperative to do something in his office. 😃 Secondly, I’ll be gone in 2 weeks and he needs something to remember me by! 😃 I think this will look lovely on the microwave in his office. Oh, and it’s not covered in aluminum foil. Really, that’s silverplate. Really. Not aluminum. That would be tacky. 😃 I love my boss. ---

**FCM** , that is…ermmmm…inspirational. 😃 I’m sure Al will cherish it for years to come. Or at least days. Weeks? **LiLi** - hope you actually get to sleep some. Is the morning sickness at least sticking to mornings so far? Watched HP 5 & 6 and then brother declared that we’d seen enough movies for one weekend. We took a bit of a break and then watched the women’s World Cup final. It was an AMAZING game (went into extra periods and was settled in penalty kicks. Japan beat the U.S., which seemed right to everyone because they played just a tidge better. After that we all went outside to weed and deadhead flowers and generally do garden clean-up. Brother and nephew have left (nephew is going home for the week) and I’m taking a break from the garden. I’m about to go out and do another hour or so. It’s not as hot as it has been, but still a bit melty. Hugs to all. Back later. GT ---

I mowed da yahd, edged, trimmed stuff and then did the same thing at OYKW’s place. Then I got all cleanded up and we went to that paragon of fine dininn’ known as Three Squares Diner. Then we went back to his place where he “apppreciated” me for purtifyin’ his yahd. 😃 I’s tahrd! But I already said that didn’t I. ---
