**Sahirrnee** , I’ve had problems with mice too. Not fun. We do have a cat who’s decent at catching mice, but they’d stay on the counter, out of the cat’s reach. ---

Happy **FIRDAY** all! I tried to post yesterday but accidentally hit the wrong key on the keyboard and everything disappeared, plus my page went back a few. :eek: Doncha just hate when that happens and you don’t know what you did?! 😃 And of course I’ve completely forgotten what I was originally posting about! Ah well … I’ll toss out a few things and leave you with a story. Hopefully. 🙂 My friend who was having the chemo is finished with it. I’m still praying for and thinking of her every day, but also hoping that her next MRI will show good results. At least she enjoyed her birthday and Thanksgiving. She’s still got peeling feet, though, and neuropathy in her hands from the chemo. My cousin who has the a-fib is doing better, and the doctor has even cut back on her meds some. Hopefully, they’ve found a combination that works the best for her! Still, keep Michele and Donna in your thoughts and prayers, thanks. There are so many tales in my family and every year as the Christmas holiday approaches, we can never forget the “Merry Christmas, Ho ho ho!” year that our mother nearly went berzerk. That year, my freshman or sophomore year in college, Mom had gotten ahead of the game, so to speak, and had all the presents wrapped and hidden away. Unfortunately, my youngest brother had been sleuthing, and had found the presents and opened all of them so he knew who was getting what. He did re-wrap them, but you can imagine what a 9 year old boy would do with present wrapping! When Mom found out what happened, she went ballistic, and came after all of us. She nearly cancelled Christmas that year, and I’m fairly certain my youngest brother got a terrible punishment for it. She was so upset, though, that all she could say was: “Merry Christmas, Ho ho ho!” in a mean, sarcastic tone. She did eventually get over it, though and even in later years was able to laugh about it. I miss my Mom! Hope everyone has a peacable day and enjoys their upcoming weekend. 🙂 ---

Howdy from da cave! I ended up havin’ to make a foray up to the near north forty which is closer to da cave than the orifice, so here I am. Ima use up the rest of the pot roast today by makin’ sorta Philly cheesesteaks for dindin along with oven fries. \*\*tarra \*\*- your story reminds me of a tale my MIL has told. Her boys were notorious for feeling and shaking boxes, trying to figure out what they were getting. So one year, she put numbers on the packages instead of names. Then she lost the master list. On Christmas morning, she sat there trying to remember what was in each box, and sometimes a gift was snatched from one son and passed to another. She never did that again! 😃 Poke has been pulled and sauced, and \*\*FCD \*\*bought some rolls when he was out running about. I’ve got a chocolate cake in the oven. I’m thinking we’ll have tots with the poke sammiches, plus there’s leftover slaw and cuke salad. And the chocolate cake was made with applesauce, so that counts as a fruit, right? Healthy supper!! 😃 ---
