I went to bed at a reasonable hour, intending to read myself to sleep. After re-reading the same paragraph half a dozen times, I decided it was time for lights-out. Naturally, once the room was dark and quiet, my brain kicked into high gear. I so hate when that happens. \*Whatevs \*- I’m up now. We’re supposed to have rain pretty much all day - there’s a massive band of stuff on weather radar! But we might actually see sun tomorrow, so I might just survive! 😃 Honest-to-goodness, I don’t see how youse folks at northern latitudes endure the hours of dark this time of year. I’d become ever-so slightly stabby… Nothing much on today’s agenda. Last weekend before my sweetie dives back into the work force. It’ll be weird having the house to myself again during the day. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 63 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 76 for the day and a chance of rain this afternoon. Today’s plans are, first, PANCAKES, SNAUSAGE, and BACON in copious amounts, then yahd irk to work off copious amounts of PANCAKES, SNAUSAGE, and BACON. YUM!!! Ok, that’s all I got. I need to go get purtified and wake up OYKW so’s he can caffienate and get purtified as well. The pancake brekkie starts at 7:30 A.M. and I want to be there when, or soon after, the doors open. Happy Saturday! It’s a wet, cloudy, 39 degrees with 100% chance of rain. By now **Swampy** should be deep into Pancakes, Snausages, and Bacon. I’m having beef flavored Cup Noodles for breakfast. The agenda for today includes laundry, general cleaning, and of course irk. ---

Today’s big accomplishment has been accomplished - we took our trash and recycling to the convenience center. We got there very soon after it opened, so no line, no crowds - in fact, there was one other truck there and he left shortly after we arrived. Then we ran to McD’s for a McBreakfast. Our local McD’s appears to be the gathering place of geezers for breakfast. Sadly, we fit right it… :o ---

Laid down after work yesterday intending to nap a bit, then get up, make dinner, hang with my neighbors, and then go properly to bed. Only the 1st and last steps happened – I got up from the couch, did necessary potty stuff, and then went immediately to my bed and did not pass “Go” nor collect $200. Which is a shame, cuz I could really use the money. But apparently, could use the sleep even more. Pleasantly cool night so I had the window by my bed open and a warm fluffy comforter on the bed and now despite going to bed with no dinner like a bad girl 😃 I don’t wanna get up. Maybe I can get my cat to make me breakfast. Happy Saturday everybody! ---

Blurf. Irk that was expected to finish at a reasonable 1 am last night instead dragged on til after 4. The of course I had to get up to collect wages at 9. Told security boss about postal work- I was a bit surprised, I was expecting a ‘Well I _need_ you on Friday, it’s busy time!’ response, but I actually got 'Oh, just til Christmas? Well, good for you, grab the hours while they’re there! He’s not exactly predictable though- I may well get a text on Thursday asking me to irk Friday anyway… Spent most of the day in bed, back to irk shortly. It really should finish on time tonight at least, though it is the same venue, 'cos the bar downstairs won’t be open, and that’s the only bit with a late licence. I’m sulking a bit 'cos Sunday juggling club’s not on as they couldn’t get the room, and I can’t go to my regular Monday club for two weeks either due to going postal. Plus I’m a bit annoyed at my female housemate: we were going to go put up the Christmas decorations this weekend (which we both paid half for last year), but she’s decided she’s going to do it today, when I’m working, rather than leaving it til tomorrow when I’m free. This is because she wants to drink ‘lots’ of mulled wine while putting stuff up, and she won’t be able to drink as much tomorrow because she has work Monday morning. Apparently she doesn’t understand why I’m not happy about this. ---

Howdy Y’all! After the ingestation of copious amounts of PANCAKES, SNAUSAGE, and BACON, I raked leaves and ran the mower over the front yahd to make it look, well, less like the neighborhood white trash lives here. 😃 Really, that’s pretty much always my goal yahd wise. So, that’s all done and I’m freshly showered and defilthyfied. Guests comin’ later this afternoon for merriment and lasagna. However, I shall go have myself a nappy poo shortly. One must be all relaxated and refreshed when one entertains guests. ---

Alright, alright, i dragged my carcass outta bed, and even got some stuff done and some other stuff cleaned up. In **swampy’s** honor, I, too, had bacon for breakfast. 😃 It was delicious. Had a couple rolls and a cuppa hot Earl Grey. I have a manageable to-do list, and I’ve organized my bills list and if everyone can just _wait_ till next Friday when my next paycheck rolls around I think I’ll be ok in that department. I’m budgeted down to the wire till then to make sure I have bus fare for each day, since I don’t want to ask my nice neighbor too often or impose on his crush, but I also have enough food in the fridge and pantry for me and Nikki and Pretzel so in general I feel much better than I did a day or so ago. A ton of sleep apparently helped, too. Oh, and the bacon, bacon always helps! I have a bacon-y pan sitting here and some potatoes and some broth that needs usin’ up and leftover T-day turkey fat so I think I’ll have pan-fried potatoes and homemade gravy for lunch. (And, apparently, a multi-vitamin.) There’s a “white whale of cooking” thread over in Cafe that inspired me to do the potatoes, and also, the bacon-y pan was quite inspirational as well. Dishes are clean and just need to be put away, then I need to shower and put on those pants everyone keeps talking about, so I can publicly take out my trash and wander over to the office to sign my lease renewal. My friend might come over tomorrow so we can giggle like schoolgirls over the guys on the dating site I posted to. That oughta be fun. 😛 Best of all, it warmed up into a GORGEOUS sunny day here in DFW so I’m gonna fire up my walking sneakers and, if I’m really lucky, remember to turn on my pedometer app, and go take myself for a nice long walk. The nearby dog park is always busy on nice Saturdays, maybe I’ll go play with other people’s puppies. 😃 ---

Nappage has occurred. Lasagna is hangin’ on the kitchen counter to get to room temp. Sallit is made. Bread is ready to be toasted up. Horse ovaries are ready. Wine is also nicely chilled. We gone have us a real growed up evenin’ here at da cave! ---
