Well the mortage company called and the answer is **NO!** The broker was all full of apologies and said she tried to pull every string and the answer is still no. At least I am getting all my money back except for the inspection. So now I’m making one last attempt and see if the owner is willing to rent to own until I can file next year. The broker is willing to talk to everyone and explain the situation. I’m not getting my hopes up at all. This just sucks. One week before settlement, and this just sucks. ---

I feel like I have been through the wringer. and I don’t mean to cry. I’m really ready to just say fuck it and not even try the rent option. Oh well the worst that it is, is that I’ll have to wait until next year after I file my taxes and try again. It is what it is and there’s not a damn thing I can do to change it. ---

Good morning from Vancouver, mumpers! Arrived safely here on Wednesday, been out exploring and having a good look around - so far I am liking the place, I might even decide I don’t want to go home again. Off on a day trip to Whistler tomorrow on the bus, if I can find my way to the bus station in time! Right now, I am off to have a walk to the bus station to see how long it takes and there will probably be a stop for coffee on the way. Howdy from da cave! Acutally I’ve been home close to an hour. Red Velvet cakeage shall soon emerge from the oven to cool down and be frosted with nummy cream cheese/pee-kahn icin’. Also N.O.T. soup is simmerin’ away on the stove just cause I want some. Yes, it’s too hawt out for soup but dangit I want me some N.O.T. soup and cornbread. **2Be** facebook is its own little world. Some of it’s good but most of it is teh stoopid. Still I go there more than I probably should. **sari** who knows. It just may be you get the house with all your desires in a few months and that’ll make all this worth it. Yeah, like that helps now, I know. Got a prime packer brisket, two pork butts for pulled pork, St Louis style ribs and chicken tenders for the smoker tomorrow. Shame we ain’t all neighbors, I’d sure like to share. I is one tired nut. _Still_ not done, but it’s going to be pretty close- all the big stuff that’s being taken has been taken, and the fisheses seem fine in their new home, so it’s just tidying up loose ends and (if I have time) cleaning. I’ve spoken more to my old neighbours this week than I have in the previous 5 years- I’ve had so much help from some of them, and because I’m giving loads of things away I’ve just been chatting to everyone. Even the proper crazy guy was being nice… Very odd. Early night tonight, so I can get as much time as possible down there tomorrow- it’s dark and wet, and tomorrow’s supposed to be sunny. ---
