# The ice cream truck just drove by, and amazed me!

For those of you who believe that ice cream men are the very quintessence of evil, might I suggest a delightful little short story by Mercedes Lackey? It’s called “Last of the Season” and it involves a truly evil ice cream man getting his just desserts. It’s in the _Werehunter_ anthology, I believe. Enjoy…

There’s a lovely story (TZ episode, maybe?) where Mr. Icy Cold comes by the neighborhood…a neigborhood where children have been disappearing. He never opens one of the freezer bins. So little Tommy finally yanks the bin open, and there’s a child’s severed hand. “Oh no no…that’s not for you” says Mr. Icy Cold with an evil smile. Of course the kid tells his parents, but no one believes him.

Makes me glad I have an ice cream maker and don’t have to go anywhere near the scary ice cream man.
