Firing at the driver of a moving vehicle to prevent it from hitting you is not self defense. Approaching a vehicle on foot from the front is not proper police procedure. Firing at a vehicle leaving even if it’s against police orders is not federal protocol. Walking in front of a vehicle while shooting video on your phone, with your other hand on your gun seems like you’re hoping for a viral video, not law and order. Continuing to fire at the driver through her side window after you’re clearly 100% in no danger of being hit, then calling the woman you just killed a fucking bitch shows this wasn’t an act of self-defense but rage.
I didn’t know about this but I did know that these wannabe war-criminals were just dejected incels looking for another way to federally arm themselves.

What video are you watching. Her wife did not get into the car. She was yelling are her to drive away KNOWING she was told to get out of the car. If she shut the vehicle down and exited instead of hitting an officer who she could clearly see was in front of her then nothing would have happened except possibly a court summons. This is what stupid got her. She was free to protest ICE until the cows came home but instead she hit a police officer after being told to get out of the car. This is what the video showed.

No it doesn’t. Hitting an officer with your car does not mean the officer can execute you in retaliation. That’s not how self defense works.
You can only use deadly force to avert serious harm or death. Even with the with the most cop-friendly “thin blue line” interpretation of that video, nothing, absolutely nothing, was averted by executing the driver of that car.
No police officer was ever “hit”.
Also, shooting the driver of a car right in front of you is a piss-poor way to defend yourself, because, AS THE VIDEO SHOWS, that person’s dead weight is gonna come down on the gas pedal and send them flying right at you (if there was even anyone in her path, which there wasn’t, because SHE WASN’T TRYING TO HIT ANYONE).
@Magiver of the few people who’ve opined on this subject, and who tend to come down more on the side of the ICE officer, AFAICT, exactly none of them were aware of the DOJ policy applicable here.

T + 3S: Dead woman, live dog and stuffed toys in car. Armed, masked, unidentified individual with smoking weapon outside car.
The woman was not under any obligation to respond to random instructions from armed, unidentified masked men. This was not a failure to communicate.
It was published by Alpha News, a conservative news outlet. Then, this part is crazy, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the video was taken by the agent and posted the clip on Xitter.
DHS posted it as “proof” that she was a terrorist who got what she had coming.
They didn’t hit an officer. They were killed for no reason. The murder saved no one and placed everyone at risk by putting a vehicle out of control.
You seriously think that it was appropriate to kill this woman, who posed no threat to anyone, just for not obeying conflicting instructions? It’s clear to me that some people get into ICE because they want to hurt and kill people, and this guy got his wish.
This. The officer is blocking the vehicle. A sensible person realizes this and stands down. Choosing to drive into the officer qualifies as a serious physical threat.
He was filming her license plate . . . which should send a chill down everyone’s spine given the possible implications.

A sensible officer realizes this is incredibly dangerous to the officer and stands somewhere that the vehicle can not run the officer over.
