Under some circumstances, in basketball, you can ‘draw the foul’ and then shoot: > Drawing a foul in basketball means an offensive player creates contact with a defender, leading the defender to commit a foul, often by initiating contact with their body (shoulder, legs) while driving or shooting to get free throws, exploit weak defense, and put opponents in foul trouble Law enforcement isn’t basketball, though. Ross didn’t get to ‘draw the foul’ (while videotaping it), and then shoot. It is unambiguously and inarguably (despite your best efforts) **against** DoJ policy. ---

If someone thinks killing someone else is an acceptable response to being stupid, well…that is stupid, considering that a certain Trump official is insisting that Venezuela is an island that we have successfully blockaded. ---

Though, to be fair, his use of the cell phone to videotape the encounter may have distracted him materially. ETA: in your eyes, Ms. Good did something stupid. How do you rate ‘ill-advised’ when compared to something being inarguably and unambiguously against the LEO’s employer’s policies? ---
