I can’t help but be moved by the re-emergence of the stalwart and ubiquitous Classic Conservative Double Standard: 1. The only one at fault in a gun homicide is the one who pulled the trigger, and/or 2. EVERYBODY BUT the shooter(s) – in this case, Federal LEOs – is to blame for these deaths. Sometimes known as “situational ethics.” ---

Some people are going to be scrambling to sign up for this job. Two days later the shooter has not been identified by authorities yet… So we have a job where you can exercise authority, shoot and kill people, get paid for it, you get full immunity from killing, you get to keep your job, and you get to remain anonymous. Really, where’s the downside here? Something tells me this time we’re not going to get the identification of the shooter or shooters. ---

If one of the other people standing over Pretti when he was murdered would happen to be ID’d and arrested, I’m betting he couldn’t, even if he wanted to, tell you the shooter’s name or pick him out of a lineup. ---

You’d think if they work together they’d know each other. Driving in the same car and all that. That said, I see little in the way of uniforms. How do they know who is and is not an ICE agent? ---

Seems like you could throw on a mask, tactical vest, go murder people on the streets, and disappear, and you’ll get off scott free because you’ll blend into the all the ICE doing that. ---
