Speaking to this - while I know we as a nation would suffer from a shutdown, and especially those who can afford it least, this thread and multiple abuses reported within have absolutely reached the threshold of deciding a shutdown is the far _lesser_ evil. Shut it down, on this Issue, and make sure conditions for supporting any future bills involve a full, public investigation of the now hundreds of ICE over-reaches, with actual, enforced and substantial consequences to all involved. NO more masks, failures to identify, and willful disobeying of the constitution. Make sure that the faces of the people and these specific demands are front and center every time Trump tries to blame the Democrats on funding.
