Maybe more suitable for CS but certainly relevant to current events.

Peggy Seeger song written in 1969 - “Song of Choice” lyrics here

>
> Song of Choice Early every year, seeds are growing Unseen, unheard, they lie beneath the ground Would you know before the leaves are showing That with weeds all your garden will abound? If you close your eyes, stop your ears Hold your mouth, how can...

The song was covered by Solas on their The Words that Remain CD. Coincidently (or not) Pastures of Plenty (Woodie Guthrie) is also on the CD The Seeger song is about the rise of fascism and the Guthrie one about the migrant farm workers who put food on our plates.

> It's a mighty hard row my poor hands have hoed / My poor feet have travelled this hot dusty road / Out of your dustbowl and westward we roam / Through deserts so hot and through

Have a listen to the Solas covers.
