The article was written because a copy was to be auctioned at Southeby’s two days later. It went below expectations. But The Sign of Four manuscript hit $960,000.

Wow! And think of it: Until I Googled yesterday, I thought my copy of 1927 Complete Poe was a treasure! I open the book frequently because all of Poe’s writing is wonderful!

His The Philosophy of Composition is very interesting and an especially fun read. Read it now if you haven’t already. (I assume Google can find you on-line copies quite easily.)
