[Vera Lee](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q--5gyasX3k) is my favorite off **Bang Pow Boom**. The song kind of sums up the “Other” or “Outsider” thing that ICP has really built their following around. They really appeal to the “dweeb sector”, which many can relate too… At its heart Vera Lee is a nerd and “bad boy” lovesong, but also transcends to higher memetics- everybody really has their verily own Vera Lee. Or what was it in the seventies… their own Waterloo? It’s a shout out to every nerdy or misfit teenager that goes unnoticed and is trampled and strangled by the sociopathy of American Society and High School. In another world I’d just think their music is mediocre and I wouldn’t pay them any mind. But their fans… it’s their fans that make me truly despise them. I have never seen a group of less intelligent assclowns (lol) than Juggalos. ---

Having heard very little of their music, I just give them props for sticking with it. I used to see their ICP trailer thingy they’d apparently haul around to gigs, in Royal Oak (a Detroit suburb) pretty frequently in the 90s. And see ads for their shows, often at crappy little venues in the local rags. Any artist who doesn’t hit it (really) big, but sticks with it that long, deserves at least some credit. ---

So re the willful ignorance posture adopted in the “miracles” video, is it really all a big sophisticated meta-joke pose, or are the Juggalo fans just that brutally stupid that the “Fuck science!”, “Yay miracles!” theme has a powerful resonance for them? Honestly in viewing vids of Juggalo fans I’m not betting on the sophistication angle. ---

Every now and then I discover that there are people in this world who are on an entirely different page. So… are these “Juggalos” controlled by ICP? Are they like a cult? If ICP came out and said, “Hey, you guys are idiots, move out of your parents’ basements, get a job, and bathe,” would that be accepted as the gospel truth? Is it a religion? Seriously, what the fuck?!? I was marginally aware that ICP existed, essentially to have the piss taken out of them and to serve as the butt of jokes. I had no idea that Juggalos and Juggalettes (!) existed. ---

Apparently, the Juggalos invite one or two acts each “Jugstock” or whatever the fuck it’s called, solely for the purpose of harrassing and pelting with garbage. Whoever is doing T. Tequila’s booking should have known that, I imagine. Huh. Given the chance between fading into obscurity, or re-emerging at a Juggalo gathering… I’d go with the former.
