I LOVE Invader Zim. I kick myself for only just recently discovering it.
It seems to only come on Fridays at 9:30 p.m. I’m almost never home then so I rarely see it ☹

I couldn’t remember this by heart, so I had to look it up, but this is one of my favorite dialogs from the series:
"It all started in 1962. Utilizing advances in modern food synthesis, scientists at NASA began work on a germ-hostile _ **SPACE MEAT** _ to be used into long expeditions into _ **DEEP SPACE!** _ Only recently has their hard work paid off, as even more advances in the field of _ **SPACE MEAT** _ have been made and applied to what is now known as Operation _ **MEAT!** _ eeing this as a way to end their streak of being sued by angry costumers poisoned by their burgers, the MacMeaties Corporation decided to try this miraculous _ **SPACE MEAT!** _

Sadly, I have only just discovered Invader Zim, although thanks for the tip on showtimes, **JuanitaTech** - I will be setting my VCR.
**Podkayne** I LOVE JHONEN!!! And I don’t care who knows it! I just bought the Spooky Squeak Toy from [www.slavelaborgraphics.com](http://www.slavelaborgraphics.com)! (This is a shameless plug for all you Zim fans to go to this site immediately and buy all the Jhonen Vasquez stuff you can- you will never be sorry you did.)
Also, is it true that Roman Dirge of _Lenore_ and _Something At the Window Is Scratching_ fame is/was also somehow involved in the production of Zim?
And where can I buy more Invader Zim merchandise?

When I first heard that Vasquez was doing a cartoon for Nickelodeon, I was absolutely flaberghasted. Owning bot **Johnny** and **Squee** the concept of this guy developing a CHILDREN’S cartoon was unbelievable.
Unfortunately, I don’t have cable, and I’ve only seen one episode, but it’s got a great quote:
“Human’s don’t have arm nerves!”
ZAP
“AAARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!” (as arms become useless and flail about uncontrollably).
This show is great!

Zim exists in comic form in the new Nicktoons magazine (Number 5). It’s drawn by Jhonen himself and is done completely in his comic style (narration, scribbled asides from the author, thick black outlines, intense poses, a dialouge style zanier than that of the show’s…). I can’t believe it cause I always imagined a Zim comic and wished he would do one and he finally did and it’s exactly how I always imagined it would be! Plus…
