**I’ve never paid for TV.** I have seen cable TV, and while it is pretty cool, I don’t know if it’s worth paying for. **Holy water, it burns!!.** ---

I’ve had two long term girlfriends. I never paid for TV. - But can I get a minor under the roof of his parents who do pay for it/included in dorm costs clarification? **I have paid for cable.** Baptism…hmm…technically, I was baptized as an infant, but it was by my mother, when I was very ill and she thought I might not make it through the night and she panicked. Which, according to the Lutheran church she grew up in, is cool, 'cause any Lutheran who’s been baptized can baptize in times of need, but she was no longer a member of her church at the time of the baptism and has never been back, so I don’t know if she still counts as a Lutheran, and I was never a Lutheran at all…I’m going to need a judge’s ruling on this one. ---

Being a heathen, I’m probably not the most credible authority on what consitutes a valid baptism. But given that the original baptisms were performed by an individual who was not part of any Christian church, there not being such a thing until quite some time after John started his work, I’d say it counts. Of course, that may just be the greed for toothpicks speaking :). I won’t complain if **Hockey Monkey** disagrees. ---

**fisha: I keep my toothpick.** **Sofis: you get a toothpick.** **WhyNot** : What a blast from the past. I had totally forgotten about emergency baptism. We were taught about it in confirmation class. In the Episcopal Church, any other baptised Christian can perform it, but if the baptisee lives then they still have to go through the whole ceremony in church, with sponsors/godparents, anointing, and everything else except the actual water. I think practicing Christians would say it was sufficient for salvation _at the time_, but since it wasn’t done in church I bet it’s worn off by now. 😉 My raised-Episcopal-now-atheist vote is no toothpick. ETA: **Hockey Monkey** , I hope you don’t mind the input. When we played in school (with tequila shots instead of toothpicks), half the fun was hashing over the answers. ---

I’m surprised at all the people who haven’t paid for tv. **Gives sofis a toothpick.** I was baptized when I was 17, after being saved. The water was very cold. I’m giving away toothpicks left and right. I’m going to have to come up with a doozy next round to win some back. ---

\*\*Whynot, \*\*if your mom was intending to save your immortal soul, or at least some cheap insurance on the off chance, it was a baptism. If she was just hosing you down, then no. I reputedly was baptized, but I have never found any record of it, and I looked. I would still consider myself baptized, however. Gives away another toothpick. And I am amazed at the amount of people that have not paid for TV. I am the only one I know that doesn’t currently have cable/sat/dish, let alone through the years. I’m just a tightwad that thinks there are better ways to spend time and money. Like aircards and the 'dope. ---

Wow, I’m behind. Sheesh people, it was Thanksgiving (er, in the US anyway), don’t you have better things to do?! **Gives NAF a toothpick** I’ve got my Mom’s old twenty-five year old three-speed with coaster brakes outside.
