Second of all, there are two levels of XBox Live: Silver and Gold Silver is free. It allows you to download patches, chat, download demos and other content, and display all your gaming history via the ā€œgaming cardā€. Gold is the one you pay for. The main thing gold offers that silver doesnā€™t is that you can play multiplayer games online with other gamers. If youā€™re not into online gaming, donā€™t bother. So with silver service, thereā€™s really no reason not to do XBox live.
