Yeah, there is that trade-off, and you’re probably right that “excitement” is worth more than a few tens of thousands of dollars. But of course excitement isn’t _guaranteed_ even when the payouts are $100,000 per night. There’s probably a way to create a mathematical formula using ratings and payouts, given all the years of data that could be used… ---

I don’t recall ever hearing the name of that author. On the other hand, the Supreme Court final jeopardy question was a snap for me, but I could see it being pretty obscure to others. Guthrie needs to be gone quick, can’t stand her. BTW, did anyone see Holzhauer on “The Chase?” I don’t think he could possibly look more uncomfortable and my god, they spackled his face with a ton of makeup. ---
