Sent resumes to a couple of staffing services, which will hopefully result in at least a nibble or two, and got a little housework done. Ran a couple of loads of laundry (well, load 1 is drying again after I discovered some items still damp), ran the dishwasher and put away both the load that had been washed on Saturday and the load I washed today (we usually only need to run it every two or three days, there only being two of us), shredded carrots and cheese destined for various meals over the week. ---

Hello all! Cheerful things from today: 1) crabapple blossoms are at their peak in my neighborhood and smell wonderful, 2) while out for a walk, we came across a family on rollerblades: 2 elementary-aged kids, mom and dad all rollerblading together and obviously having a ball; 2 littlest kids were in one of those strollers that joggers use, merrily being pushed by one of the parents. **LiLi** , if you’re reading along…it made me think of you; family size and general age range were about the same as yours. Loved the duckling story! Moving causes all of us to freak out, **rosie**. Hang in there. (and good luck on your move, too, **mmmmmmmmm** ). Thanks for getting us started, **Cookie**. Looks like southern Merrylande is in for another soggy, dreary day. I’m thinking it’s a sign I should spend some time in my studio, and so I shall. I do have to run to WalMart today, tho - the bed wedge I ordered is in. Sleeping on 3 pillows has apparently stopped me from not breathing during the night, but I’m thinking a wedge will be more comfy, especially with my lumpy pillows. One I’m dressed, I’m heading to California. It still cracks me up that I live just north of California and Hollywood. And quite a bit north of Scotland. 😃 I’m breakfasting and caffeinating. Morning, all - On the ‘just to tick everyone off’ side - we’re supposed to have almost a week of really nice, sunny weather up here. Highs in the mid-seventies, no rain at all forecast pretty much as far as the forecast goes (so far, anyway), and unseasonably high, for this area. No complaints. Gardening prep doth calleth me forth. On the flip side - Gah! Thigh cramps last night! Felt like someone heated up a fillet knife red-hot, jammed it into my left hamstring, then did the hara-kari thing with it. Been up ever since about 4 EST. I drank plenty last night - that’s supposed to help, right? On a side note, I have long wondered precisely \*what \*swampy’s ‘irk purtification’ ritual entails. Is this a question that should be asked…? Ima goin’ for a doggie walk shortly. Happy Toosday, everyone! ---

\*\*coldblood \*\*- first off, I envy your loverly weather. Ours will come later this week. Second - in all things **swampy** , it’s best not to ask too may questions. He’s a nice enough person and all, and the only Mumper I’ve ever gone on a date with 😃 but he does love his TMI. I think it’s just safer to accept him at face value, unless you have a large supply of brain bleach. I should note that I feel safe saying that since he’s 700-some miles away from me. 😃 And I’m trying to figure how my dinner with \*\*swampy \*\*counts as a date, whereas other Mumper encounters weren’t. Like when I had lunch with **tugig** , or when \*\*BBBobbio \*\*came to my place for dinner (OK, my daughter was there - that would be too creepy as a date). I think all of my other Mumper encounters were groups… I think… Still sitting here like a bum - I need to shower and dress. Dreary days just sap the motivation out of me. PS - I just figured it out - \*\*swampy \*\*was the only one who picked me up at home. All other encounters were meetings in the wild. So there ya go! ---
