Well said. All good points. The Nazis struggled to gain traction for most of the 1920s, but they capitalized on a financial crisis. The same can happen here, and with climate change likely to cause major disruption in the years ahead, I worry that fascists here will have a crisis they can readily exploit. Even without climate change, the growing polarization and political dysfunction can have consequences that could develop into a financial or political crisis. ---

Ashli Babbit got justice already. I wish more of the crowd had gotten the same. About the only thing worse than being a domestic terrorist hell bent on overthrowing democracy and murdering elected officials is being stupid enough to demand “justice” for domestic terrorists bent on overthrowing democracy and murdering elected officials. ---
