Just wanted to say how good you were to share your kitty’s life with us. And let me just warn you about going to shelters with no intention of getting another fur baby right away…you can’t replace Vira but you can prevent your house from seeming like the emptiest place in town and if you aren’t careful (as I know from experience) one of them will choose you. If that does happen, let it happen. Every cat is different but life with no cats is too terrible to imagine. ---

We want to spend a month in Paris in the fall, so new pets don’t fit into the picture until after that. ---

Goddamn I need to stop reading these threads. I always end up a miserable, sobbing wreck, especially since I know that I’ll likely be writing one someday soon. Beautiful eulogy, **Chefguy** , and I’m sorry for your loss. Vira was a wonderful, worldly kitty, and no cat will ever truly be like her. ---
