The last book you read

**LolaCocaCola - isn’t Gibran amazing? I absolutely adore his work, especially the piece - “On Marriage” I think it’s called. I recommend it to a lot of customers. You might want to check out the poet Rumi as well - I think you might like him a lot, though he’s got nothing on Gibran.

I have read snippets of Rumi’s work on the net, but have never owned a book.

Any suggestions?

I almost always read paperbacks. The last hardcover I read was Johnny Rotten’s autobiography No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs, and that was several years ago.

Widow’s Walk by Robert Parker in hardback (I had a gift certificate) and P is for Peril by Sue Grafton. I got a kick out of the Grafton because some of it involves arcane medical-records and billing stuff – I got it figured out long before Kinsey did.

Just finished The History of Pi by Petr Beckmann. Interesting book, though when his personal biases come out, they come out hard. Petr doesn’t think much of the Romans, that is for sure. It is an older book, publication in the 1960’s, and is hardcover.

Hardback-
The Giver by Lois Lowry. It’s a young adult book I read in about three hours to prepare a lesson plan for my daughter.
I enjoyed it though!

FNRFR, I loved No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs! It was one of the few new hardbacks I ever bought, because I couldn’t wait for it in paperback.
