**Bumba** one must have the peas and greens for good luck and money the coming year. Rice goes good with the peas and, well, **N.O.T.** sallit, what’s not to like. I lurves fried chikin but it takes a while to fry up some chikin as chikin must be thoroughly cooked. However, I have made an executive decision. I have four nice smallish poke tenderloins in da freezer. I shall thaw, butterfly, sprinkle on a little salt, pepper and liquid smoke and grill poke tenderloins. This poke epiphany hit me at irk today. Butterflied poke tenderloin cooks up nicely and fairly quickly on the grill. **Spaz** I didn’t realize you were movin’. Glad you have friends who will let you move in. Surely a place that has a Lutheran camp has a similarly flavored Luterun church. If not, give us Whiskypalians a try. We believe in Jesus, Gin and Tonic. 😃 **A[sup]2[/sup]** is it possible for Mr. Bill to have one final OH NOOOOOOOOO! accident? ---

He’s gonna have an ‘accident’ pretty soon. I’m looking at the construction of this thing and there is nothing to indicate an improvement. All other toys are gutted in seconds, faces ripped off, etc. But this one ‘oooooh noooooo’! Dammit! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis a chilly 39 Amurrkin with a predicted high of 59 and sunny for the day. Not too shabby. Of course this means I must wear a jacket _and_ keep up with it all day. I am seven years old when it comes to keepin’ up with jackets, umbrellas etc. 😃 **Spaz** any call to me that time of night/mornin’ that does not involve severe injury or worse will cause me to rain down curses upon said caller. Ok, sure, the worse curse I ever put on somebody is “may you suffer from painful papercuts” but still… don’t wake me up unless it’s biiiiiiiiiig. **doggio** I am _shocked_! Shocked I say! Up, showered, dressed, and I’ve gathered random change from random containers around the house. It’s not a huge sum, but since I’ll be going to the credit union today, I decided it was time to de-change the house. I think there’s some in the truck ash tray - I’ll get that as I’m leaving. It’s a beautiful, but cold, sunny day. About 10, I’m heading out to the wilds of Dahlgren, VA, where the aforementioned credit union is located. They’ve also got a shiny new superWalMart where I can get some cat kibble and kill some time till my lunch date with Al. I’ll also be filling my car - gas is cheaper there because VA’s taxes are lower. In reality, I might save all of $1, but psychologically, it’s important! 😃 Other than that, just another day in paradise. I did get an email from one of the sites where I posted my resume - it was a critique with an offer to rewrite my CV with more dynamic words and stuff - for the low low price of $349. Sure, I’ll get right on that… :rolleyes: It may not be the greatest resume in the world, but it’s honest and uninflated. I’m not so desperate for work that I’d puff it up with fancy verbiage. Heck, I’m even wavering on whether I really want to go back to work or not. As I’ve always said, indecision is the key to flexibility! 😃 \* \\* And onward into the fray! Happy Wednesday!!! ---

Back from lunch - former boss brought along 2 former coworkers, so we had a nice chat about assorted stuff, and I was reassured by what they were telling me that I did the right thing by leaving when I did. So yay for that. I also learned that we had just over $46 in loose change around the house - it’s in the bank now. I also got some stuff at the new WalMart and I just finished paying a few bills that had to be done the old-fashioned way. That’s about all. It’s still sunny and pretty out, \*\*FCD \*\*is bored, and I have no idea what I’ll do for the rest of the day. So there’s that. 😃 ---

I can just see distant planes as they turn toward Bush Intercontinental. I’ll be wondering about each if **gardentraveler** is on board. Been a coupla bannings the last two days, both with a very condensed posting history. Wonder if it’s a vacation or school break issue or what. ---

Like **Taters** , I have a cold. It developed over the course of only a couple of hours, and now it’s in my head and chest. I can’t get comfortable. I want my head to be cold and my chest to be warm. I’m also going to have to gather up all the glasses in the house (especially the bathroom glasses) and put them through a sterilize cycle on the dishwasher, so I don’t get my mom sick (I think I caught the cold from Dad). It’s actually been . . . a disappointing Christmas this year, and I feel guilty. Phoukabro minor was out for several days, but we just never connected like we usually do. He is a professional snarkster, and while I can usually snark right back at him and occasionally score a hit, I’ve been left so thin-skinned from cracks my dad makes that a couple of times when bro-minor snarked at me, I either teared up or completely disengaged. Not good. Phoukabro major has been kindness itself the last several days - went and picked up cold supplies when both bro-minor and I came down with the cold and brought me a sandwich last night. Today, though, he’s curt and snarly, and of course, I feel like it’s my fault. I must have said or done something, or forgotten to say or do something, and now he hates me. (The small, starved, logical part of my brain keeps repeating 'it’s not always about _you_," but I don’t seem to be listening.) I think we’re all feeling overwhelmed. Dad continues to go downhill. Money is always tight. Neither of my brothers really knows how to give emotional support. Mom’s worried about her job. I won’t get paid for my tutoring until the middle of January, and more than half the students I’ve been assigned haven’t bothered to get back to me to set up an appointment. So . . . blech. This too shall pass. ---

So close, yet so far away; I did not get to close out one of my Bucket List items. We just took a girl 37 weeks pregnant to the hospital. No water break, but contractions were about 5 minutes apart and regular. I wanna deliver a healthy baby to a healthy mom before I get out of this biz… ---
