The Late Great Douglas Adams

Frank #2, that is an excellent suggestion. justplainDave should get in his car and just drive around if he wants to find the book.

If you want to find Dirk, you have to think like Dirk

I think of Dirk every time the refrigerator in my back yard starts shaking…

I think of Dirk every time I have the sudden, inexplicable urge to strip naked and dive into a filthy river.

(not that it happens often)

Not only is Last Chance To See still available, it’s computerized version is free for download at Home Of The Underdogs.

I too ofton think of Ford when reaching for a dinguy towel.

BUT I think of Aurther everytime a Yellow bulldozer is going to knock my house down while I’m still in my dressing gown

I assume you’ve all bought and read The Salmon of Doubt? Apart from lots of other good stuff, it has the first inklings of an attempt to merge the Dirk Gently world with the HHGTTG universe.

I think of Dirk every time I pick up a hot potato and pass it on, pass it on, pass it on.
Seriously, as much as I love the HHGTTG books, the Dirk Gently novels, Long Dark Teatime of the Soul in particular, will always be IMHO two of the finest books ever written.

You can get this book for $2.95 at Alibris: http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm

Alibris and Amazon (used) are your friends.

I just bought Long Dark Teatime at Barnes and Noble. Glad to hear it’s going to be so good!

I think of Dirk every time some young lad saves me the trouble of kicking myself, by kicking me.

And I think of Arthur every time some young lad calls me a complete kneebiter.

Gusty winds may exist.

I do visit h2g2.com but I can’t remember the last time I posted on it. Great site, wish it got more attention…
