Are you trying to somehow equate (comedic, fictional) callous indifference toward the death of an **actual** child with support for a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy, which involves the destruction of a minuscule clump of cells that is **not** the same thing as an actual child? This is what I wonder about. I hear a lot about people who think life starts at conception and that’s why abortion should be legal, but I have never heard those people mourning the hundreds of thousands of babies who die from miscarriage each year in the US. In those cases there’s not an evil abortion doctor or misled woman to blame, but otherwise the death should be just as tragic to pro-life people. The Mayo Clinic says that 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, but it’s likely more since many women have miscarriages before they even know they’re pregnant, they just think that they have an unusually heavy period or something that month. If people really and truly believed that life begins at conception, I would think there’d be some equivalent to St. Jude hospital, researching how to prevent all those zygotes and embryos from dying, but I haven’t heard of such a thing. ---
