And that “consideration” is often no more than a right-wing snarl-word. And the “awareness” in definition 1. is often no more than self-righteous noise. An appointed VA official had to weigh taking the picture down vs keeping it up, based on the relative power of elected officials on opposing sides of the “woke” spectrum.

But the abysmal quality of care received by veterans? All three officials seem unified about that issue.

Taking the picture down was woke, and that’s a good thing.

There were instances where a whole lot more was “tolerated.”
