I just watched the Life of David Gale again and the end still confuses me about the student Berlin. Remember that Rusty takes the suitcase of money to David’s wife. Enclosed is the postcard from the student who set David up saying she is sorry. What is she sorry for? Setting him up? Was she in on the whole thing and she’s saying she’s sorry to his wife? Color me confused.

I think she was just sorry about the whole false rape thing, as that really killed his whole career. I don’t think she was in on the whole “murder” plot, though it’s been a while since I’ve seen it so I may have forgotten an important detail.

God, I hated that movie.
