Why do people keep painting the 2020 Presidential election as “very close”? It wasn’t.
Depends on what measure of closeness you use. Sure the total popular vote wasn’t close, but flipping AZ, GA, and WI (three closest I think?) would have required flipping ~43,000 votes out of ~158,000,000, or 0.03%. Sounds pretty close to me?
Yep, a few tens of thousands in a few key states was what won it.
Certainly no landslide.
I don’t know but I think that if advertising didn’t work it wouldn’t be a multi-billion dollar industry.
This is country circling the drain stuff. The Lincoln Project people are grifters and their marks are sincere, half-engaged-in-politics rubes. People that want a simple, comforting answer that doesn’t involve changing their lifestyle or trying to understand how American society works. That the system is basically good, it’s just a few bad apples.
If they form a party it would be for the same reason they switched to attacking Trump, because that’s where the money is.
